Yeast is built local-first. Everything you create in the app — starters, feed logs, dough plans, schedules, journal entries, photos, presets, and settings — is stored only on your device. There is no account and no login, and the app talks to no Yeast server. We cannot see your data.
Analytics
The app sends a small number of anonymous usage signals (for example, “a paywall was shown”) via TelemetryDeck, a GDPR-compliant analytics service based in Germany. These signals contain no personal information, no identifiers linked to you, and none of the content you create.
Purchases
Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your payment details.
Notifications
Feed and bake reminders are scheduled locally on your device and never touch a server.
Yeast Dough Planner in ChatGPT
The Yeast Dough Planner plugin for ChatGPT is separate from the app. When you ask it for a plan, ChatGPT sends our server the dough parameters you asked about: the pizza style, number and weight of dough balls, temperatures, flour, hydration and the time you want to eat. The server, a Cloudflare Worker, calculates the plan and sends it back.
- Purpose: calculating that one plan, nothing else.
- Retention: none. The parameters are processed in memory and discarded when the response is sent. We do not log them.
- Recipients: Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the server. Its per-request logging is switched off for this server, so we see only aggregate counts (number of requests and errors). Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.
- Link clicks: when you tap the link to the Yeast app, we count that a click happened. The count contains no IP address, device or account information.
Your conversation with ChatGPT itself is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy.
Children
Yeast does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children — it doesn’t collect personal data at all.
